MCC solutions are built on a family of 19” rack-mountable chassis designed to be fully non-blocking in all configurations. The MCC chassis family includes three models that have backplane speeds of 4.25 Gbps (4X), 8.5 Gbps (8X), and the NEW 10.7 Gbps (HS). The 4X chassis models accommodate two, four, or eight interface blades. The 8X and HS chassis models accommodate four interface blades. Each chassis is powered by hot-swappable power supplies with optional redundancy. All four-slot and eight-slot chassis are available in DC powered versions as well as the AC models.
The NEW High Speed MCC uses a 10.7 Gbps switching matrix allowing 10Gb signals to be switched over a single path across the backplane increasing the density of 10G ports in the system. With the growth of 10Gb services and associated equipment it has become necessary for test labs and data centers to manage a high number of 10Gb connections. The High Speed MCC doubles the number of 10G ports in a system half the size of existing systems; 144 10G ports in a 5 rack unit footprint.
The interface blades for the MCC provide the building blocks of the multiple-slot chassis system. Each MCC chassis slot accommodates one blade, providing a modular platform to customize the MCC system to suit the specific needs of each testing environment. Each blade is connected to the switching matrix allowing any two compatible ports to be connected to each other. The design of the MCC allows this matrix to be non-blocking regardless of the type of blades used in the system.
The type and quantity of ports a MCC chassis supports is determined by the blades used in the configuration. Each blade has 8 to 36 ports and supports a variety of protocols and data rates. The SFP and XFP blades are designed to operate with MSA compliant transceivers so the protocols supported are limited only by market availability.
Once wired to the lab infrastructure, the options for managing the MCC range from a standard command line interface (CLI) to a sophisticated resource manager. MRV provides a complete portfolio of options to fit every application.
The LX 4000T Series of console servers (also referred to as terminal servers or infrastructure appliances) allows IT administrators to perform secure remote management of operational and physical infrastructures. The 4000T Series offers 8, 16, 32, or 48 ports, single and dual power supply options, an optional internal modem and dual Ethernet ports. The 4000T Series uses the proven LX Series software, for an easy transition from other LX Series models. The 4000T Series can be used with MRV's Power Control Series to manage, control, and monitor individual power outlets. Physical infrastructure control and monitoring of sensors can be enabled on each 4000T Series port, and sophisticated Trigger/Action control can be used for customizing that meets specific organizational needs.
The LX-1004T Console Servers are compact 4 port versions of the LX Series of Out-of-Band Networking products. The LX Series of console servers (also referred to as terminal servers or infrastructure appliances) gives IT administrators the ability to perform secure remote management of operational and physical infrastructure. The LX-1004T uses the proven LX Series software, for an easy transition from other LX Series models. LX-1004T models include 4-port units with a v. 92 modem and AC/DC power options.

Modular "pluggable" transceiver technology vastly increases the flexibility of network devices with improved product reliability and longevity. SFP and XFP transceivers may be used interchangeably in standards-compliant devices. Interchangeable transceivers allow a single device to operate with a wide selection of media and protocols. Upgrading the media used on a port requires only seconds with a hot-swap SFP or XFP, once the new media is in place.
